SUSAN PHILLIPS

 

BIOGRAPHY

For over thirty years, Susan Phillips has been a working artist in photography, and, most recently, in mixed media collage. She resides in both NYC and Woodstock, NY, and is an active member of the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum in Woodstock.  In addition to these organizations, she is currently a member of The Kleinert James Art Center, The Center for Photography in Woodstock, NY, The International Center for Photography in NYC.  She is a member of and Gallery Director of the National Association of Women Artists in NYC. 

Her photographs have been exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Brooklyn, NY, the Bergen County Museum, Paramus, New Jersey, and the Coos Art Museum in Coos Bay, Oregon.  Ms Phillips’ color and black and white photographs have been part of gallery shows in the NY metropolitan area as well as throughout the United States and can be found in corporate and private collections.  She has received several awards for her photography.

Ms. Phillips has been working in the medium of collage for over ten years.  She now exhibits her work in both mediums.  On-going photographic studies include:  Puddle Reflections, NYC; Graffiti, NYC; Pond Reflections, Hudson Valley.
